Yes, I know what you mean. I worked with a guy like that. He was a single guy and was a supervisor at the company. After work he would go to his favorite bar and drank until they closed.
By the time he got home he would not shower or bathe.
People he worked with finally had to go to the Personnel office and complain........... then they got involved.
That may be your way to handle this problem.

I think the best way is to come right out but if your afraid to hurt his feelings then the best way is to be like MAN I GOT THIS NEW DEODRANT AND IT IS AWESOME, hint around he will get the point! I had to do this with a girl at work and it worked!

there used to be a guy my friend dated with serios body odor......my brother once walked up to him and handed him deoderent and calogne, and told him to put it on, he actually did, it was pretty funny.
