I went shopping where today I got about seven blouses, two t-shirts, a pair of slacks and a skirt for under twenty bucks. I only go for name brand--what's the point in buying a Walmart shirt at a thrift shop?
Do you ever find great bargains at thrift shops? Sometimes you can find stuff that is brand new, with the tags still on them. I did that last summer, got Banana Republic jeans for like two dollars. How great is that? The only difference is they may not be the latest fashion to the date...but they are still in style and you can find great bargains! I also find at JC Penney and other stores in the mall their season end clearance you can buy clothes for $1.77 and they were like $40 before!

I love thrift stores! I think its a common misconception that shopping at thrift stores means getting clothes that are out of date or in bad condition. However, if people gave them a chance they would find most of their favorite brands there, and just like you said a lot of times they still have tags on them. I love it when people compliment my clothes and ask where I got them, and I reply Goodwill. I love the shocked looks! Between that and prices, going thrift is completely worth picking through the racks! Now I don't have to sacrifice quality for quantity or vice versa!

Thrift shops are a great place to shop. Many clothing items can be found at the Goodwill stores and Salvation Army stores that have actually never been worn or very gently worn. I have purchased many items over the years that have actually been brand new with the tags still attached. I would not purchase undergarments there, but what a great way to save money. We have even thrown theme parties such as Luaus and picked up Hawaiian style shirts for a few dollars each instead of forty dollars or more. The best part is that you are helping many people less fortunate than you are by spending your money there. I have found that I can wait to find many items that I want, and I have saved a lot of hard earned cash in doing so!!!! Have fun and enjoy all your bargains.

Thrift stores are great....I agree with you. I have picked up some wonderful vintage clothes and brand name clothes at fraction of their real value. I also have bought clothes on Ebay, like a shirt that retails for 75 dollars for only 5 bucks. I never pay full price for anything anymore.

Yes I do, even though at first I hated the thought of wearing someone else's clothes, I found real Coach labeled purses/accessories, vintage sunglasses, Christian Dior jacket, and much more. It's pretty amazing what you can find there.

Never. You are probably buying my old clothes. I take them to be sold at the thrift shops. I will say that they are picky though.
