do you prefer a dog or cat? and why?

I prefer dogs because you can train them, they listen to you, are very smart, good friends,nice company, very funny(especialy the puppies)...and more other reasons.
Cats are cute too, but more independent... they often do what they like.

I've had both though not at the same time. I like cats because they're independent and fun to watch. They're also easy to care for - no baths to give and you can leave them alone for long periods as long as they have enough food, water and litter. Dogs, though, are a pal. I have a Lab that's my best buddy. There's a cost in that you have to make arrangements to leave them if you're gone for long periods but you get a lot back.

Dogs, because their more lovable, half the time u don't even see ur cat, he's outside hunting dumb mice or laying in the attic or something, dogs u can train and r just so much more friendly.

Cat. Easier clean up, more solitary animal. You don't have to deal with cats as much, they will play by themselves. They don't grow up to be huge either...
