I never had that happen, but when I worked at Wendy's years ago, people were always coming in ordering Happy Meals. We would just say, "Ok, a kids meal" and punch the button on the register and move on. No one got mad, but it was noticed.

Actually I did that at Wendy's by mistake the other day. The manager waited on me, at first she gave me a funny look and I guess she realized I didn't know any better. She said I am not familiar with the Whopper, but tell me what you want on it and we'll fix it the way you want it. There were many people there for lunch, and instead of embarrassing me,she was really nice.

I frequently ask, as a joke, at the McDonald's where we live if I can get a number 16 or a number 20. They laugh and think it's funny. If you ask for a whopper they will laugh and think it's funny.

That's adorable.

Yes, they would be furious. Quite likely a Jr Cashier would strike you across the face with a deep fryer pan.

I think it would be funny, doubly funny if you asked for a double whopper.

LOL If I was taking your order I would just laugh and say sure, and give you a nasty fish fillet sandwich!

Most of them would probably just stare blankly at you. That is what they do most of the time if you ask them a question, anyway.
