Hi there,

Welcome to the world of periods hun. Right well basically this is what you need to do. Wash daily down there or even more often during the hot weather. Wear a panty liner as these are much more comfortable and dont hurt. Change the pad everytime you go to the toilet or within every 3-4 hours.

Your first may be lighter than women who have a normal period. This is because your body is adjusting to having its first period and your period may not arrive every month. It can take a while or even a year for your period to be regular and arrive the same day every month.

Also, if you're having tummy cramps (completely normal hun) then take some painkillers to help with the pain (clear this with your Mum first) or alternatively, apply a hot water bottle to your tummy. This will also help with the pain and cramping discomfort.

Last thing to do is write down in a diary or a note book, the date your period arrived. When your period finishes, write this down in the book too. Then put the book somewhere safe and when your next period arrives, write it down in the book again. Over a period of time you will notice a pattern forming in your period. They may be arriving on the same day every month, or last the same number of days or arrive a few days apart. This is normal and eventually your periods will arrive every month or on the same day every month.

Good luck and take care.

Thats the undertaking with the typed notice as adversarial to the actual voice. With the typed notice there are actually not any vocal connitations and for that reason the reader would not comprehend in case you're joking, being serious and regrettably some issues could be taken out of context. Heres the deal Dave. you're a great guy, a sort act.i've got reported that countless situations and anybody has a similar opinion with me. i'm valuable your touch knows you meant no injury. =)

Even though your mom had a hysterectomy she will still know about a period, she used to have them too. Sit down and talk to her she should be able to explain everything to you. Congratulations on becoming a woman.

Take a deep breath. You may be getting your first period. Everyone is different. If it's your first one it may not be constant. You should use a pad or a pantie-liner. Just because it only happens when you go now, does not mean in a few hours it will still be that way.
_just because your mom had that surgery doesn't mean she never ever had a period. Try to talk to her, She may surprise you.
**Good Luck

Go to Walgreens and buy "Always" maxipads. You just take the backing off and they stick in your underwear. Also get some motrin, too. You may need it. You probably don't want tampons if it's your first period.

Blood turns kind of black when it's old and clotted. Don't worry about it. You should use approx. 6 pads/day. Don't worry, you'll be all right.

It should be coming out all the time, not just when you go, it should be in your underwear and stuff. But if you do have your period, try to keep track of when it is (average girl is 28 days) but mine never was regular till recently because i just started taking birth control for fixing my hormones.

I'm very serious about this - congratulations! A woman's first menstrual period should always be a cause for celebration.
