You can wear an ankle brace while you dance, even if it's just tape.


Also, if you dance barefoot, you might want to getting foot undies! They're little pads for your otherwise naked feet!

And PLEASE invest in a good pair of dance shoes made for whatever style of danc eyou do.

If you're a dancer no matter what your ankles are going to hurt. But if you warm them up before dancing it should help. You can start by doing ankle rotations clockwise and counter clockwise; and Pointing and flexing.

Also when you're done dancing and you're sitting around you should try to keep your feet elevated. This reduces the swelling on your joints.

You may have flat feet which will make your ankles weaker. Get something to support your ankle. Do this excersise: Put your foot flat on the ground and make your foot crawl along the ground by using your toes. Do this every day. I have weak ankles and that helps me.

I always used to wear leg warmers around ankles, I know it sooo 80's, but it really helps.

soak your ankles in epsom salt & dont wear high heels when you dance
