over rated i think captain America, wow his a little better then human and he had a shield

Overrated marvel heroes - the extended X-universe. The original core updated Xmen from the 80s were cool and I was something of a fan, then it all dwindled into a cast of thousands as Marvel milked them for all they were worth.
Overrated Marvel heroine - Magik/ Illyana Rasputin
Overrated DC hero - Superman (despite the new movie, which is more of less ok)
Overrated DC villain - Trigon - ten eyes, antlers, red skin, ho hum
Underrated DC hero - Garfield Logan/Changeling/Beast Boy a hero with a long and interesting history which no writer/artist has ever taken the time to take fully seriously and really develop in a meaningful and not pathetically laughable way
Underrated DC hero - Timberwolf (if you can believe that, I mean who??) I liked Timberwolf.
Underrated Marvel heroine - Rogue
Underrated DC villain - Ra's al Guhl, although I get the impression you don't like Batman. I didn't like last summer's movie much.
Rated about right - Spiderman - a truly compelling character with a powerful story; Batman same thing (sorry, I like Batman)
PS you guys are right about the Silver Surfer; he was cool -- it's about time they revived characters from that era - Thor, Conan...

I think Batman's great for the traditional reason, he's gutsy, "having it all" and putting himself on the line to make the world a better place.
I don't know about overrated, but an awful lot of attention seems to be spent on Wolverene. He's great, I love the dude, don't get me wrong... but there's other characters too!
Underrated- well, I've been out of touch with the comic book world for a few years... but I'd say Ghost Rider's going to be a big favorite after the movie comes out. You never hear about Capt America, Iron Man, Thor, Silver Surfer, or any of the "classics." I hope they start getting some more attention from Hollywood now that technology is getting there. Can't imagine Galactus though!

overrated superhero- Marvel: Wolverine, If I heard one more fanboy say that Wolverine could have beaten Lobo in the DC vs Marvel book I think I am going to scream. Lobo is a guy who can go toe to toe with Superman and walking away still talking mess. Wolverine meets the Hulk and Hulk shoo him off looking for a real challenge. Please read this guys stats before you make comments like that.
Wolverine strength level is only at that of Capt. America maybe a little more. The admantium claws are dangerous but Wolvie doesnt have the strength to do any real damage to someone like the Hulk or Lobo. Think about it Lobo can survive the void of space. That means his hide has got to be pretty darn thick.
And that healing factor? It aint that dang good. When Wolvie had the admantium ripped from him it took about what 6 months to get himself back right? The Hulk got himself cut by a character called Speed Freak. His guts spilled out. He grabbed them put them back and before he could get his hand out of the way, his stomach healed around his hand. So what did he have to do? Rip back open the wound. The Hulk healing factor is almost instant.
Ok then what about Wolverine fighting skill? How much of this fighting skill have we seen when most of the time he is in beserker rage? Not much. If some is jumping in the air with arm stretched out yelling all the way, that at least give you an opportunity to get the heck outta of the way.
I hate these fanboys that believe that Wolverine is the best thing next to slice bread. Please, please, please read a comic before you make judgements like that. Ask your dad, or uncle or someone older than you about comments like that one before you go around the internet making yourself look pretty darn stupid.

Gotta say, I think Moon Knight is about due for some recognition from the fans. Other than that, I gotta go with Katrine's list; it's fairly complete, although I think Lex Luthor is a bit overrated as a villain.
