I have been from time to time in my life, but I've lost my taste for it ( Oh have I ever been humbled in my atonement ). How about you? What's in it for you?

I am not a brutal man. In 2002, a guy raped my then gf. I stabbed him in the face with a busted beer bottle so hard, it cruched into the underside of his skin and also cut my hand. I spit on him and left. It was the worst thing I ever did. Am I sorry? I wish it never happened, I wish I was not in that position, but I'm not sorry. I will never ask forgiveness. He had it coming, I am forgiving, but vengance is so sweet.

Yes, I have been ruthless, and I have been right. There was no need for atonement.

I had a guy who took a substantial sum from the corporate bank account, forged the bank deposit slip to look like it had been deposited some 30 days later. I caught him while doing a bank reconciliation. I reported him. He ended up in jail. BTW. I got a reward too.

Yes; and yes. The choices weren't easy and neither was admitting the wrongness of decisions I have made, nor was asking forgiveness. I truly learned what contriteness was. I have put in a lot of time on my knees asking forgiveness, and understanding.
