Hi
I am 32 weeks pregnant and have been having this pain and discomfort in the pelvic area especially when I get up from sitting position and or sleeping position. It seems to fade away after I walk a bit? Could it be SPD? Is there anything that can help relieve it? I am just worried that I have to put up with this for 8 more weeks.. I didn't have this with my last one.. hope this won't make my labor and pushing harder. Anybody with similar symptoms.. what worked for u? Please reply

my ob explained to me that it was your ligiments stretching out to accomadate birth...i had it from 6 months till delivery with my last child. He said the more children you have the less elasticity left in the ligiments so the more pressure you have.

I SO had this when i was pregnant. I just had my baby 6 weeks ago. With mine it started around 30 weeks and went until I gave birth. The pain was instantly gone after I had the baby. Sometimes I felt like my bones were gonna split apart. Its normal and there isnt much of a cure for it, just to relax as much as you can now. best wishes and Good Luck!

It could just be your hips and pelvic moving. That is supper painful. I couldn't even cross my legs. Your are right at the time when they start moving. You should consult your dr or dr's nurse just in case but it probably is just your hips and pelvic getting ready for the baby.

I had the same problem 2 weeks ago and asked my doctor and was told that it is normal.

You may want to consult with your own OB doctor with this concern.

It could just be your pelvic widening so the baby can get through.

It could also be ligaments pulling. Just call the doctor to be sure and get some rest.
