No- it is none of their business. They CANNOT sue for discrimination. This person has the right. The FMLA documents have been signed for by a doctor in order for them to leave. It is Family Mecidal Leave Act, and he is intitled to it by law. Just tell them that!

No.
Your company is REQUIRED to post the FMLA leaflet in the break room or near the timeclock.
Tell the Hispanic people to READ THE FMLA leaflet.
Once the do, they should understand.
They can't sue for discrimination anyway.
The company and the employee are covered by FMLA.

Heck No, don't tell them It's none of their business, and would be a breach of confidence, and you might get sued legitimately. Let them spend their hard earned money on a lawyer, and then let the courts tell them whats going on. If they could speak better English, they might understand what's going on. I'm sorry for your co-worker that has the family problem, he doesn't need you adding to it. If he wants his coworkers to know, he can tell them.
Secondly, If you tell them, then in the next 2 months, they will find a way to go on FLMA, and you won't have but half your work force.

Don't worry about it. If they want to sue for discrimination, I think they'll just be wasting their money. Unless they, too, have asked for a similar working situation and have been denied by the company's administration, they have no grounds for a lawsuit. No one has discriminated against them.

You do not disclose personal information like this to anyone or he can sue you. It is none of the other workers business why he does what he does - that is between you and him. If he chooses to tell them thats one thing, but you cannot, and if your other workers want to sue you and use that whole "were mexican" crap, let me tell you this - you need to be their boss and tell them if they don't like it - there is the door.

FMLA, medical records, etc are protected under the provacy act. Therefore, you really should not tell anyone.

I dont believe that legally you can. If his co-workers want to know they should ask him. You are better off not saying anything.
