CINNAMOMUM camphora. camphor tree.

my favorite tree for climbing. i have had several in different locations. in it's proper place and planted properly it can be a wonderful addition to any out area. need good drainage, can be messy and no friend to nearby walkways, it has more good points then bad.

not for use in close to garden or house, wonderful to look at (and to climb) follow simple placement directions and you won't have a problem. don't clean up under it. it will make it's own mulch and control thr weeds for you. very fast grower! one day small, the next you'd think it went poof! like by magic it's big.. did i mention it was good for climbing? if you have the room, go for it.

Great for a hammock. good for climbing too. a rope swing fits nice under it. wonderful tree if you like to climb.

They are considered a non-native invasive plant.
According to the link "camphor trees grow like weeds, infesting forests and displacing native trees. This is because camphor trees are prolific seed producers that do not have serious predators or diseases outside their native range."
