Really Detroit isnt as bad as everyone thinks. I live in Detroit. Ive never gotten robbed in my life. My house is not burned or vandalized. Gangs dont rule the city. Our downtown is revitalizing. There isnt homeless people on every corner. Ya people are leaving but people are leaving Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, and New York. Not every neihborhood is a ghettohood. I just hate how everyone thinks its so bad. Its my hometown and I hate getting insulted about it. Oh ya, theres grafitti, gangs, hoods, and abandoned buildings in every major US city.

I grew up in Detroit and now live in a suburb of it. I think it's a wonderful city with a lot of potential. There is a lot of history and culture that the "Detroit bashers" don't know about. I have no problem driving through any part of the city at any time. There is crime and degeneration all over the country...but we get picked on.

Thanks for your words...Detroit rules!

Detroit is awesome. If it wasn't for Detroit, there would be no Insane Clown Posse. They are musical geniuses whose influence stems from their lives in your city. Thank you, Detroit!

Downtown Detroit is an outstanding section. it is made an awesome fix from the topic matters of the 70's and eighty's. the perfect neighborhoods (in no particular order) are: Indian Village, Palmer Woods, Rosedale Park, Boston-Edison. Sherwood woodland is especially outstanding too. There are about 4 million human beings in metro-Detroit. 2.5 million of them stay in Oakland and Macomb Counties to the north of the city. making a time-honored go back and forth from honestly a mode of counties to the city and reduce back might want to be an absolute nightmare! Plan on 3 hours in site visitors each day in case you've been to stay in say Troy or Auburn Hills and go back and forth to Downtown Detroit each day, pretty if it truly is a 9-5 pastime. The remark about Mexican city (or Southwest Detroit) is especially precise, however it truly is going to be stated that the realm turned right into a disaster until eventually the Mexicans began to pass in and construct a community. it is gotten a lot more effective seeing that then.

Its not bad at all in my opinion. I have drove through downtown at midnight before and saw less that 20 people loitering around open businesses. Very clean and no noise
