if it's still pretty small, buy a wart remover (usually it's a liquid or something that you brush on), that takes about a week or 2 for it to go away. if it's bigger or you think it may spread, definitely go to the dermatologist and have them freeze it off. the wart will itch like hell and swell up directly afterwards, but it is a more permanent solution in the long run.

Well you can either freeze the wart, or deprive it of oxygen. I was told to cover the wart with Vaseline and tape, cutting off the oxygen supply. Sounds weird but they may have something there. I haven't tried it yet, only because I'm lazy.

Best thing to do is to see a dermitologist (skin doctor). They can recommend things for you to do, or they remove it themselves. I had a lot of problems with warts as a child, and I just went to the dermitologist and had him freeze mine off. It doesn't hurt too bad, and mine went away and never came back.
Hope this helps!

my sister just got rid of the grossest wart I have ever seen!! she used over the counter freezing medicine and it went away within a week or so. If you are nervous about just putting something on it, you can go to a doctor and they will lay out all of your options
