Does she really feel she is strong enough to go cold turkey it is a very painful experience? If she does make it through that, the only thing I can say is that she has to change everything about her life, meaning her friends, the places she goes, and so on. Most important of all she needs to find a support group, NA is good. There are peaple there like her, who are trying to stay clean. She also needs to know that she will go back to the drugs if she is quitting for someone else, she has to do it for herself and only her.

Is she gettin proper help? I mean I know u will be offering help as a friend but toget of it for good she will need to see and doc and maybe a counseller or something.

The apporpriate authorities need to be alerted too so they can make sure the child comes to no harm.

She might not harm her child but herion addiction comse with a sordid life. What kind of people does she have coming in and out her house? Where is she going to buy the stuff?

You need to take a step back and get her to someone that will help her beat this for good.

Hope this helps.

only been on it 6 months , cold turkey shouldnt be that bad , although very uncomfortable. see a doctor and ask him to prescribe subutex , if the kid really wants to come off it ,it will help , only other thing i can advise is get the kid out in that sun , warm him up and cheer him up , plenty of luv and support , some pain killers , and its up to him , ps , must get him away from current so called friends ! heroin user 10 yrs , clean 9 months, best of luck , anon.

if you are a true friend you will let this person into a room and lock them in it look after the child it will be hell for you all but their is a light at the end of the tunnel make sure they have plenty of water, you will hear horrific sounds but that is only to be expected just stick with it and goodluck to you. p.s do not forget their is a child involved if their are grandparents of Friends the child can go to take them their and also do not leave anything in the room that they can harm themselves with and be careful because they will give any excuse to be able to get out of the room i am afraid you have to be cruel to be kind

i hope it works, and she stays clean this time! cant u tell her that the longer shes on it, the harder she will find it when or if she tries coming off it again?! if she goes to her doctor they will probably refer her to someone that can help her come off the $hit! Smack is a horrible poison type thing, i hope for her sons sake, she can stop it.
i have seen the affects of what smack does to people, especially to the kids of people who do it. its horrible!! good luck! x

I hope it works for her. Is she detoxing herself or at a clinic? My only advice is to tell her to stay away from her old contacts. Maybe she could go away for a while or something.

Have her go to AA meetings or NA meetings.

(drug addicts also use AA they don't mind)
