You can get your babies ears pierced really any time you want. Even the hospital would do it for you when your daughter is born and before you take her home!! Also, your pediatricians office will gladly do it as well!
I haven't read the other commments/ or answers yet on this bulletin but I did see your additional information. I guess I am assuming people are getting upset you want to pierce your daughters ears? Oh well...it's your decision..so I say go for it.
I would get my daughters ears pierced as early as leaving the hospital whenever I have a daughter. Just 1 son right now :)
And Yes, I think it looks really cute and definitely Precious!!!

Both of my girls were 6 months when we pierced their ears. We got two single studs for each of them so that we could have two girls do them both at the same time. It takes the parent's commitment to keep them clean and in good condition, but it worked well for us.
I have friends that have set the age of ten or twelve for this though. It just depends upon your ideas on the matter. Most piercing places (and ENT, Ear, Nose, and Throat, Doctors will not do it until at least 6months. I happen to work with some ENT's and they will do it as early as 6 months to a year old.

Like other parents who answered, my daughter had it at 4 months after consulting with the pediatrician (she did it) Many people mentioned that when it's done late, they touch the ear and get infected.(they play with the ear) If later the child doesn't like having ears pierced, just don't wear one. But I considered that pain is not remembered at young age. Parent should clean with alcohol the pierced area.

My mom waited until I was 7 (considered by most to be the "age of reason") and could decide for myself if I wanted to. :) It was really cool...I was a "big girl" who got to get my ears pierced. I got to ride in the front seat of the car (HUGE treat for me! lol This was in the early 80s before people freaked out about kids riding in the front seat, and before airbags) and pick out the earrings myself.
I've never liked to see young babies with pierced ears. Contrary to what some may tell you, piercing your ears DOES hurt, and babies can very easily get infections in their ears, rip the studs out, get them snagged on something, etc.
I have two boys, and hopefully they won't ask to have their ears pierced, lol. If they do, I'm telling them they can once they're in college. :) If I ever have a girl, I'll let her decide for herself when she's 7 or so.

THAT is a personal decision. I feel the YOUNGER THE BETTER for one reason. As babies they can't "play" with them and infect them with fecal or other matter. As older toddlers, they can. So, keep that in mind.
Also, just because someones a teenager doesn't make them "mature." I knew a girl, was valedictorian with Honor Roll and straight A's, we had to PULL the backs of her earrings "out" of her ears with pliers because she let them grow IN because she never turned them or took them off. So, just because someone maybe a baby, doesn't mean they won't be taken care of! While a self aware teenager who knows better may let herself "go."
So, its a parents "decision" and no one elses. When they think they or their children are ready.

i had my daughter's ears pierced when she was 12 weeks old because EVERYONE kept saying what a beautiful little BOY i had. gishhhh... but guess what? the piercing didn't stop them from calling her a boy. i am now just convinced that all "bald babies" must look like boys...

When they're old enough to choose if they want it. When is a good time to get your baby tattooed? People say if they don't want it it will heal later. It doesn't always heal. Let your child make the choice.
