...would it make the tradition of eletrocuting prisoners seem less obscene to the rest of the developed World.
After all, seems to work for the rest of the food chain.

I'm from a country that abolished legalized murder 40 years ago so I don't think the comment is stupid.
Did the word obscene not give that away?

The rest of the food chain is nature taking its course, as ordained in the Bible, not barbarism. The Bible also makes it clear that you shouldn't murder. I see executions as legalised murder. I know we used to practice them here in the UK, but it was abandoned, because its barbaric. In answer to your question, though I am sure he would not do it, perhaps Attenborough is the only human in the world that could do a voiceover on an execution that might just take the edge off it, but perhaps only because we have been subliminally programmed to associate his voicovers with excellent cinematography, awe and beauty, even if it in itself is a little barbaric. I couldn't watch it. I once saw a Polish film, I think, though I'm not sure, that it was called "A short film about killing" in which a guy is hanged. If it wasn't real, it certainly looked it, even 17 years on, the images make me feel physically sick. But believe, voiceover or not, there are many out there who would watch one. And plenty who do attend these excecutions.

You seem to have lost your thread. You don't like Sir David or executions? He is a bit of a bore, isn't he? I quite like Bill Oddy. "That's a treehopper, they go up. The other ones, they go down. That's how you can tell them apart".
