Gosh honey I know this is a really hard time for you going back to work is so painful for the new mom. As far as a schedule I always fed my boys on demand but I had the luxury of being home a little longer than you. I know lots of moms who use formula during the day and breastfeed only at night your body will adjust to the new schedule and make milk accordingly. Talk to your Dr. There should be a local Le Leche League in your area and they can be very helpful. I have to say kudos to you for giving your baby the very best start you can. Good Luck

This sounds pretty normal for a breastfed baby. Breastmilk is digested faster than formula, so baby gets hungry faster.

If your concern is getting more sleep at night, I recommend giving him formula for his bedtime feeding. He will sleep a little longer. Your breasts might engorge as a result of the missed feedimg, you might want to pump it a little the first few nights, but not drain it so they get the signal that this feeding is not needed anymore. It's up to you how many nighttime feedings you want to replace with formula.

Good luck.

I think that you should try to get more time off of work, because you want the baby to bond to you and he won't bond unless your there to bond too so try to at least only work part time for a little longer.
