I got my a s s jumped all over because of my answer to a question similar to this. What about the Native Americans that were thrown off their lands and killed, I guess I should go and ask for retribution because my ancestors (Cherokee and Apache)were killed.

I'm just saying it's kind of BS that everyone else can do it. And about the casino's, get a life. Native Americans deserve a hell of alot more if you ask me.

I'm not saying I'm going to sue anyone. I think that's idiotic. Some other people that do need to get a clue!

The question I answered earlier was something like: Isn't telling blacks to get over slavery like telling Jews to get over the holocaust? I'm sorry, but big difference! But I guess I can whine about my Cherokee and Apache ancestors but then again, it doesn't mean as much because we're not black. Call me racist, I don't give a rats a s s!

Ol' boy that jumped you has a seed inside him, it will blossom into cancer if he doesn't pay attention!
The blood that everyone speaks of is not on the hands of our present day people. And the slaves WERE captured and sold by their brother Africans! Supply and Demand are BOTH to blame! But that ain't me....
Our native people have a very legitimate reason to be angry. The European invasion not only wiped out the numbers, but have also destroyed much of their culture, spirituality, and their blessed Earth Mother. They are a culture that has been invaded, they can't go home as others could return to their ancestral homeland!
And many other cultures on this Earth have a similar problem. Invade, conquer & distroy...that is what the white man has done to peoples all over the world.
The issue today is to make people understand that the spirit of the land, belongs to the indiguous culture! I'm tierd of hearing people claim this country as their own, when they obviously carry the beliefs and the problems that brough their ancesters here to ESCAPE in the first place!
This country was found on the idea of religious freedom! That's why they left England in the first place. So why...oh why, do they still aim to wipe out the Great Spirit of this land!
In peace and love, child, we will overcome.
Respect your Earth Mother,
Respect the Great Spirit,
Respect your brothers & sisters,
Respect personal freedom!
Blessed Be...the Native Bloodline.

Native Americans should ask for retribution, and they should not be laughed out of the courts. Casinos are NOT payback, and it's actually offensive you say as such. Casinos, like the reservations, are like slow cancers that are rotting out the Native Americans as a whole. By tribe and tribe, things vary, of course, but casinos only reinforce a stereotype and give everyone else the excuse we're paying them back. We aren't.

Native Americans have, in theory, gotten retribution by having reservations. However, there are numerous quests to gain even more land (that's rightfully theirs that was stolen from them in the late 1800s, not that long ago). There is also an act or two that gets back bodies and artifacts from anthropologists and museums that were taken, which I suppose is some sort of retribution for Native Americans. Federal funding and support, I guess, is the government's way of giving retribution, though it sure has little do with preserving and promoting the Native Americans as a whole and returning to them what they deserve or even renewing their tribes, characters, and spirits. On this subject, the United States of America will always be stupidly divided, uncomfortable, and questionably ungenerous.

Fine but if you want to go there we can go EVEN further back to the people your ancestors killed and they can sue YOU! We can all go to the very source of life and sue it because we just have to keep reaching back and demanding money so we don't have to get off our own asses and work for a living.
It was a battle for land..Indians lost..too bad, not my fault and you will get nothing from me or mine as we were not in country at the time. Please for once can ANYONE just get over it..hundreds of years ago...i think we are past the statue of limitations.

Yes, the Native American Indians were treated horribly and many were killed, but now they are taking back plenty white man's money in the gambling casinos! That should be payback enough.

My ancestors were thrown off their land and killed, and then put into servitude and taxed. Then it happened AGAIN.

I am still waiting for an apology and reparations from Rome and Germany. My ancestors were ancient Britons.

And considering every treaty that the US signed with the Native tribes were broken or ignored (and we will not talk about the shame and disgrace of Wounded Knee that the US Calvary exacted), it seems only fair.

The closest thing that comes close to reparation to the Native American's, would be the "Casinos..."
and "Tobacco(***as far as a payback!)

nicely, there is the Armenian Genocide, and the Rwandan (Burundi) Genocide, and the Bosnian Genocide. Oh, and the Khmer Rouge. All of those are rather debatable in terms of the definition of "genocide." it is very genuine of the Armenian adventure and the Turkish view (nonetheless there is not any argument with regard to the nicely documented genocidal focused on of the Jews via the Nazis). i think of you may study up on "genocide," no longer in straightforward terms on the 5th web site under, yet additionally in books written via severe pupils of the region. They understand the arguments -- the two very own, nationwide, and worldwide -- terrific. solid success. many international locations and cultures are nevertheless arguing approximately this.
