The follow-up letter after an interview can seal the deal if you want the job.

Each person should be individually addressed a note. If you made notes about the interview, or remember what each of the people you met asked about, this gives you the chance to speak again to the topics that mattered most. You can add a point or reinforce something favorable in your background.

These potential colleagues and superiors appreciate knowing you paid attention to them and their concerns. They respond positively to even a very simple "thank you for your time and courtesy" letter.

When taking interviews, ALWAYS collect cards or write down carefully the proper name spelling and job title of each person you meet. Be SURE this is correct in the thank you letter. If you aren't sure, then call the company - usually a receptionist or someone not involved in the interviews can set you straight.

Good luck!

I would send each person his own letter. They could be identical in wording but change the name.

Better to write to the main interviewing officer. If each letter is needed better implement different letters to each. This will prove that you are a person who "Think things differently" rather than a person who "think different things".

Send one to everyone who took their time to be there. It gives the impression that their time is important to you. If they are under the impression that their time and their presence was important, you'll also have a company that they will want to work for.

How a company treats its customers is one thing. Everyone knows that a company will treat their customers well if they want to make money.

How a company treats its employees is something totally different. A thank you note for showing to an interview makes it appear that you care, and that makes for more loyal employees if you choose one or all of the people who were in the interview.
