I think its disrespectful. Why dont you start calling men honey and see how he likes it. Only women would put up with something like this. I dont think there are many men who wouldn't mind their women calling other men by some such name.

I am a woman and I can tell you I worked in nursing and restaurants for years and I always addressed my co-workers,patients, customers, etc as honey. I wasn't really aware of it till I worked with my daughter and she said something. It's probably just his personality and is totally harmless. Just the fact he does this in front of you shows it's done with innocence. Just in case there is a small chance he is doing this to annoy you, act like it doesn't bother you, you'll be surprised how fast he stops when he doesn't get a rise out of you.

My husband does not call other women sweetie; I don't think I'd care for it if he did, and I would tell him so. I think terms of endearment should be reserved for loved ones, but I know a lot of people use "sweetie" and "honey" all the time, and it doesn't mean much.

Just do the same thing, start addressing other men the way he does other women, see how he reacts.

I'm sure he means nothing by it...in fact, he's probably not even aware of it. I have the same habit of calling people "sweetie" as well as hon, sweet pea, baby boy, etc....it's just a term of endearment and respect for all people..and in no way is it to disrespect you. Just let it go...he doesn't mean anything by it, hon.

I wouldn't be upset. It would be like making a mountain out of a mustard seed. It just appears like its a term of endearment for him. Have you even asked your husband why he says it?

first of all I would tell him You my husband and I am your damn wife and you been address to other women as sweeite??? what the hell. I am just the damn woman on your side??? Disrespect, I only tell my wife sweetie why becasue she my wife, and I call her honey, babe, dear, only my wife not other women and I don't do that at all. and I don't marry to all those women.
