The most boring movie of all time 'The Return of the King' did not deserve every oscar. Anyone else wish it was never made?

And I'm not talking the books, the movies only. And I don't want, "It's just great." Because it's not, convince me why I should cream my shorts like everyone else over this series.

No imagination and detail don't cut it either. It was based off a book, there goes the imagination. If anything these movies destroyed any imagination the book held. And I don't watch a movie for detail, I watch it for entertainment so tell me why these films are entertaining to you!

The movie as you probably know is based on a series of books. The reason it was so popular is because it is a classic and many adults as well as children have read it and that is why the hype was so big when it came out.

I personally like the movie, and think the directing is what made it really come to life on the screen. So its not so much overrated as it is appreciated.

Fellowship and Return were good. Two Towers was boring. It's called imagination and creativity that make these movies so great.

I don't know, but I thought each movie just went on way too long. My husband made me go see all of them with him and I was bored to tears.

It's not overrated, but it was really well made and a lot of money went into it, so you have to appreciate that.
