The Mayan civilization calendar as we define it is 12-21-2012 is a bookmark in our calendar for humans to ascend to the next level of spiritual development. As we grow, we become more aware of our place in the cosmic family in our universe. We care more for others than ourselves, caretakers for the planet we live on and follow the 11 Universal Laws and 11 Spiritual Laws for the Universe. We still have time to improve to make this deadline in time. The world will not end if we do not make it. We will continue in this time dimension until we are worthy to be received by our cosmic family.

Nope. What happens on that day is a grand astronomical alignment between the sun & the Milky Way which only happens every 26,000 years. To the Maya this signfied the beginning of a new world age (NOT an ending.)
Also, the calendar doesn't END that day. It's the first day of the 13th Baktun--like our calendar going from 1999 to 2000 except that a Baktun is 396 years long.

The end of the Mayan calender isn't supposed to be the end of the world, but the end of an age. What that means is anybodies guess, but considering the Mayans propensity for predicting comets, and other celestial events, we shall see what they mean as we get closer to the "event." Personally I think it will be some kind of celestial intersection, perhaps a comet will either hit the earth, or come very close to hitting.

I don't think that the world is going to end then but there will be allot of changes in the world being though. The world will go through a "cleaning" and there may be lots of storms and "bad" things happening through this time. This is what I've been taught, you don't have to believe me,you'll see for yourself.I just want to advise you that if you feel the need to leave a place then leave!Don't follow my advise if you don't want to though. :)

The Bible says that we will not know when. For years and years people have been trying to predict the end of the world. I do believe the signs are here, but how long is a day for God? No one knows, they just try to guess. I just take it day by day. I am ready when he is!

NO! Why anybody might have faith this crap is previous me. A calender made via Indians countless hundred years in the past isn't a fortune telling gadget. Why not include genuine technological know-how, and espresso value idiotic mythology all at the same time?

Well, you never know, but according to one particular religion, as long as there is even one human left on earth who believes in God and has faith, the world won't end.
