okay first pull down ur earlobe if it hurts then u probably have an ear infection if not then do u have a blocked up feeeling in ur ear that cant be cleared by swallowing? if yeah.. did it happen after an airplane flight then u might have barotrauma if not then has ur hearing become worse? u might have acute infection of the middle ear or a chronic infection in the middle ear but it could also be wax blockage. if theres a yellow discharge then thats a sign of infection if u have a cold then ear aches are common if u have pain in ur teeth or jaw in addition to ur ear it could even be from tooth decay take aspirin place a warm clean cottan pad or heating pad over ur ear to help releive pain thats the best way to help ear aches i hope this all helped

I am going to spell this wrong but go to your health food store and get colloidal silver drops you put them in your ear. They are a natural antibiotic. Also is your dr going to irrigate your ear in a few days? If not try putting hydrogen peroxide in it cause alot of time the pain comes from the infection and a build up of wax which the peroxide will pull out. I am not familar with the script you are taking right now is it an oral or drops for your ear? If it is oral your fine but if it is drops I am not sure I would mix any of the remedies that go into your ear. You can also call your dr and explain he might have some solutions for you.

This is a tried a true Texas remedy. You will need someone to help you. Get, a sheet of paper (newspaper works best) a lighter, a damp towel (not very wet, I have done it without one)
Wrap your hair in the towel, leaving ear exposed. Lie down with painful ear up. Other person rolls paper into a large cone shape, leaving a pinkiw width hole in the tip of cone. 2nd person places the tip of cone into ear canal of painful ear. When set, light the top of the cone with the lighter. It will burn down. As it burns you will feel and hear a pop sound in your ear and the pressure will equalize and the pain will lessen and might disappear completely. Remove paper and place in wet sink before it gets too close to your ear. This REALLY works!!!

Chop up some garlic, fry it in olive oil until the garlic turns golden brown. Take a Q-tip or cyringe and put a few drops of the excess oil into your ear... Do this every 10 hours! It's an excellent home remedy for earaches! Good Luck!

What worked for me and my younger sibling as well as my own children is heating up an iron at a medium heat.... UNPLUG the iron, wrap a towell around it, then lay with this directly on your painful ear. The heat helps RIGHT away, and it's safer than using a damp heat like a hot water bottle or other. Dry heat is best.
Bon Chance!

a little peroxide will assist in killing infection, but dont overdo it. the ear drum is delicate, and peroxide is caustic. try this old itallian home remedy- warm a little olive oil, be careful its not too hot! and gentlydrop into ear and plug up ear with cotton. it really soothes and i think even offers some anti bacterial help as well. i have three kids all with nearly constat earaches and this helps them all.

Here's 3 ideas for you;
#1 have someone blow smoke in your ear. I was told that over 40 yrs ago.
#2 Heat up some oil and use an eye dropper to put in the ear canal.
#3 Chew gum. Somehow the exercise is supposed to help...

Hot wash cloth in a baggie, microwave for a minute or until it almost feels like you wouldn't want it on your skin for too long. If it is too warm just let it cool down a bit. Place the baggie with the wash cloth in it on your ear. It will help dry up the infection.
