I'd rather be a loser than someone who doesn't compete at all. At least if I'm a loser it means that I tried.

I Do not know if you are joking around or not, but here goes, When ever i hear someone i respect, call another individual a "loser" I am curious to what authority they say that. I do not like the expression,
Is a person who is not intelligent, and has a "BASIC" job, little to no money a loser?\
or, is it someone who got ropped off, lost home, became ill, and does not know where to start over, and has no help a loser,
or someone who is retarded,?

or someone who is a criminal, and lives off the working man, or woman a loser?

OR is it someone who has a bad attitude,? BIG MOUTH, LAZY LIAR, rude, crude, disgusting parasite, a loser, ?

i think of a loser is a lazy person, no ambition and blames everyone around them for them having nothing, and is always looking for a free ride, and never pays back, (OH YEA, AND treats women bad, or men) Bullies, and persons who have no respect for others or themselves,,,A LOSER,,

There is no such thing as a loser. There are people who need help, true, but there is never a born or complete loser. And yes, it is quite irritating to me to hear someone call someone else a loser. Who put him in the judgement seat?

Yes, especially people that are social outcasts and have no friends. To these people you should go right up to them and call them a loser.

No one enjoys being called a loser but most people just deal with it instead of making a big deal about it.

Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me....

No, but it's easier to try to make people think you don't care, and sometimes, depends, if you don't care what's the point of calling you a loser?

It all depends on the context, and how it's said. In a group like that where everyone is open, then it was probably said in fun. And as long as everyone has a good sense of humor, it's just fine.
