I have onset Alzheimers and I can tell you, I really is no walk in the park. I am only 27! I can't remember the more important things in life already (my wedding, my children being born, graduation, etc.). I know seeing the world for the first time might sound enticing, but what about those you love? I don't want to forget my family! Alzheimers isn't all it's cracked up to be.

You don't really understand what Alzheimer's is like, do you?!?!
You don't necessarily forget everything. It's more like losing your short term memory to start. Then as things progress you don't remember to do things like eat or shower or take medications. It's very depressing because you're not able to remember talking to family members who just visited you 10 minutes ago, so you think they've forgotten you. Then very serious cases, your body begins to not be able to function because the communication from your brain to your nerves and muscles don't function properly.
There are no upsides to Alzheimer's. Only pain for you and your loved ones.
I would encourage you to not think this way! Something you don't want for yourself or any one you love is a disease like this!

You'll never know who you are, where you are or why you're there. You won't recognize the people around you. Not fun.
I always thought it would be cool to go on a Heist when I'm like 80. If I getaway with it I have some extra retirement cash. If I'm caught, then I'm like - whaaaa? Who are you?? Where am I?? They'll never put me in jail.

Obviously you don't really know anyone with Alzheimer's. I wouldn't wish it on my worse enemy.
I know I will be called humorless and bitchy for saying this, but it's really not a joke. It is the most heartbreaking disease you can imagine.
And it's a total fallacy that those with it don't know what's happening. They do, and they hate it.

Would you also enjoy the sad look in your family's eyes every time they visit you and you can't remember their names? Get a life, jerk!
You've obviously never watched a family member die from alzheimer's.

wow your sic, ever know anyone with it? They know they have it, and they get severely depressed, then they ask the same thing over and over, and if it is bad news, it is new to them every time.
My dad had it, and everytime he asked to go see his mom, who had recently died, he had to be told that she was gone. He grieved every time like it was the first time.
yeah, would be great to have it, but for those around u that have to deal with it? it sux
