Went to a Fifty Cent concert with son and the attendance was weak. Took him to Slayer and it was sold out. Fifty is being played everywhere and he even has a movie, it does not add up.

Slayer has been around awhile, therefore, their fans are old enough to make their own choices and have their own money to buy tickets.
Also, Slayer's music is actually played by people. You need as many people as there are instruments. Slayer isn't interested in videos. The only way for their fan to enjoy them is to go and see them live. Of course, they are a partying band and the parking lot turns into one huge party.

Most of Fifty Cents fans are little white kids who need their mother to drive them to and from the concert with their mini vans.
These white housewives know of Fifty cent through his videos, therefore, most of those white parents don't want their kids associating with anything that Fifty cents represents.
Also, Fifty Cent albums are made by programming machines. It's not really necessary to do anything but sing over pre-recorded loops. Plus, the kids are so used to the exact same video that a live performance is just to different from what they're used to in the comfort of their parents houses.

In addition to all this, I bet Fifty Cent sucks live anyway. If I had his video production team and marketing people, I could play his minor role in his success. My name would be "Four Dime, One Nickel, and Five Penny".

because 50 cent fans just download his music and watch his music videos, whereas slayer flans go out and buy the cd and actually support the music

With less mainstream bands, fans are usually a lot more active, crazy, and supportive. Most people are probably more interested in partying with 50 than hearing his music.
