We all went along with those sentiments as has everyone who heard it. Now we're in our 50's (but still don't count ourselves as old.

'Peace of mind can't be bought...' from Depeche Mode's Suffer Well. It reminds me that I shouldn't take any solace in anyhting material- the original context was a bout drugs, but I think it could mean anything material that we use as a comforter.
