If you like the color they are and just want them to shine paint over them with a clear Glaze. If you want to change colors then go ahead with a Gloss or Semi-Gloss tinted paint.

Paint the walls with a paint that has a gloss to it. All new homes have white flat paint on their walls unless requested other wise. It's cheaper than the glossy paint. Just prime your walls first then paint away with the new paint.

Waxing the walls is a way to make them glossy. It is a popular wall treatment. Check with your local home supply or paint store for wax.

use latex gloss, be aware that using glossy finishes on your wall will make more noticeable imperfections like bumps and cracks, so be sure that you have a smooth wall first or you will be noticing every little imperfection, so I suggest using sandpaper first in order to even the surface first.

Repaint with with gloss enamel. Latex is the easiest to apply and clean up. It also dries very rapidly, an hour or two usually is all that's needed. I'm an ex-painter.
