can you help me find the folowing porpotions 5/3=n/12 and 7/2=42/nand n/2=50/n I need a good grade ty

7/2=42/12
10/2=50/10

5/3= 4/12, 7/2=42/12, 10/2=50/10

Remember to find out what the known ratio was multiplied by to figure out the unknow. Example: 2/3 = 8/n. The numerators (2 and 8) are known so we use those. 2 is multiplied by 4 to get 8. So we now move to the demoninators (3 and N), 3 will need to be multiplied by 4 to find n, which in this case is 12. Good Luck!

5/3 n/12 n=20

12/3=4 4*5=20

7/2=42/n n=12

42/7=6 6*2=12

n/2=50/n ....? not sure how to show the work for #3

stop allowing people to give you answers! You already asked a question like this, but a different equation. You need to learn this stuff for yourself. Cross multiply and do the math.

Sounds like someone didn't pay attention in class.

Use cross multiplication across the equal sign, this will leave you with a simple equation in which all you have to do is solve for "n".
