I've been angry since it started! It's not as though we don't know the affect of wars on civilians, how they destroy a country's economy and lead to hatred from one side and another. I think it's time we should all unite and demand they all stop fighting and start acting in a civilized manner. I'm sick of hearing that one side started so the other side had to retaliate! Whenever my kids had a fight, it was always the excuse "Wasn't me mum he (She) started" I'd ground the pair of them and made sure they understood how stupid they were. pity we can't do that with Hezbollah and the Israeli war cabinet! Lebanon has already suffered too much, this country has been destroyed too many times, its people at the receiving end of missiles, bullets, bombs and what not. I think it's outrageous!!! My heart goes out to them and i wish O i only wish i could make stupid, stupid men stop hurting them as they do.

I missed the early evening news, but what I have already seen is tragic. But "superpowers" like US and Russia are funding the aggression on both sides and doing nothing to push for diplomatic resolution.

We live in an age where the realities of war are so far away from the average person and particularly career politicians, that negotiation to ensure avoidance of bloodshed for soldiers and "collateral" damage of civilian populations is not fully investigated.

Maybe it is up to ordinary people in the "West" to pressure their governments to apply sanctions (particularly the far more powerful Israel) to force diplomatic discussion. All very "idealistic" some might say but bombing each other is not exactly original.

Power should be used with wisdom and Israel have the opportunity to show restraint to the rest of the world, for the children of both countries. Unfortunately, having watched the region for some years, it seems that killing has become an everyday, meaningless occurrence. That is the greater tragedy.

Children always bear the brunt of every war.Why is it ok in Iraq but not in Lebanon...this has always gone on.The United states that sponsor all this mayhem are responsible.I'm not anti American at all,in fact,I'm pro democracy. But it's time to find another way forward and that does not include attacking other nations just because you can.If the US did not support Israel militarily, then the Lebanon issue would not of happened. However,If Israel(formed in 1948) had been put somewhere more realistic, instead of on top of the Palestinian state, then most of the problems in the world would not have existed.Bad politics,by bad politicians....and it goes on....

i cant watch the news, im afraid of seeing poor children dead in the streets with their mothers crying over their body, its far too upsetting. They should have warnings for these images, or only show them after a certain time like watershed time - 9 at night, not during teatime, where my seven year old doesnt understand why a child has just died.

They didn't make me angry. They just mad me pissed off at the fact that the middle east is yet again going **** up.

It will cost you and I dearly as I expect yet again UK forces will be used in the area. Using our warships is certainly not cheap.

I'm kind of anesthetized, because of all the other images I have seen of children caught in between.

I have to say that we have now reached the stage where we brew a pot of tea, grill the breakfast toast, take a deep breath, look at each other and say "Ready to watch the news?".
