if those people are your parents, well that's how most parents act. i would say, since you treat me like a five year old, i guess i get whati want then. but if it's a friend then tell them to get a life.

well you see i am 13 to and i sue to be treated like a 5 year old and the way i got people to stop is by telling them hey i am 13 not 5 so either start acting like i am 13 or i will start ignoreing you

You should behave and conduct yourself in an appropriate manner for your age. Show the people who are treating you as if you are five, that you can behave responsibly and maybe they will treat you as a more responsible person. For example, if you have a pet, be sure you take care of it, the best your can, do your homework on time and be sure to be respectful to adults. That may help people see you for your real age and treat you as such.

I'm 15 and I know that people treat me the age I am because I don't act younger than my age. Maybe people treat you that way because you act that way. Try acting more mature and they might treat you like you are your age. If you do act your age and people are still treating you like you are five then maybe it is just because they are insecure and they want to feel superior to you so they make you seem younger and less able to help yourself. Alot of parents and adults forget what its like to be a teenager! Alot of them think you dont have real concerns or real feelings and they r totally wrong!!! I have a 15 year old son and he talks to me about everything! We r very close! he is at the age where I pretty much let him make most of his own decisions. Ill tell him the good and bad of it and that way he thinks about it before he decides. The only way to learn is thru making mistakes! Believe me they r only trying to protect you and keep u safe. Its all done out of love believe it or not!

talk to them or try showing them how mature you are by doing something mature.
