I've heard that nicotine stays in your mouth for 30 days from some friends i was curious if that was true

No, it pretty much clears your bloodstream within five to seven days - as long as you don't indulge again and are not exposed to second-hand smoke. It's the psychological urges - the addiction - that sticks with ya for weeks. That's what makes it so hard to quit.
I teach smoking cessation, and the biggest job is to convince would-be quitters that they can indeed survive those weeks without the weed...

Nicotine is immediately absorbed into the blood stream, even through the tender lining of the mouth. It is gone from teh system in 3-4 days. Smoke which turns to TAR in the mouth and lungs, can be part of the lining for much longer.
