Typically it is my opinion that men and women pass gas about as often as each other, but women are more polite when they do so (typically) and make an effort to be away from the public eye (or ear or nose) when they do so.
Most men appear to have little difficulty (or perhaps it's just little control) letting loose in public.
While I maintain the above to be true, part of this in the past may have also been due to diet. Women appear to be more health conscious (as far as salads and the like go) and those foods are not as gaseous as most meat products,which tend to want to escape quickly.

I think because they eat faster and chew their food less before swallowing. My husband seems to inhale his food, as I chew my food thoroughly before swallowing. It also may relate to men being more physically active. . .I have been exercising regularly for the past couple of months and I have been passing gas more than I usually did ;) . . .

I don't think men do, I just think women are more discreet about it. They excuse themselves and go to the bathroom or another room without people.

No they don't. Men brag about thier farts, my b/f does all the time. Women are more likely to move away from other when we fart or be discreet.

we all have the same amount of gas, and burps and whatever, its just that MOST girls are polite and dont want to be embabrasing because they are ladies, and its ok to do it for men...usually!

women are too embarressed to do it in public, but we do pass gas just as much but it is in our own privacy.
