I g o to play a song and the titles of the songs just keep passing and keep going and going and going. I dont know why. And i cant shut it off either!!! WHAT IS WRONG!!!!! It was $200, I can't afford just to throw it away!!

try holding the up button and the center button to reset the 'pod (this takes at least six seconds of continued pressing)- you should see the apple icon. if this doesnt work go to apple homepage and click the relevant support links.

Take it back today! Most stores have a 30 day return policy and today 7/20 is the 29th day you've owned it. If you don't you can still send it to the manufacturer. It comes with a 1yr manufacturers warranty. My friend's iPod did the exact same thing, we took it back and they fixed the problem. If you send it to the manufacturer you might have to pay for shipping and handling.

It sounds like it has locked up.
Turn the hold switch on then off and then hold the select and menu buttons down at the same time. That should restart you Ipod.

Send it to Apple for tech support. It's probably under warantee.
