My boyfriend and I are considering moving to Colorado in the future, after we get married. I wanted to get some input about living there, and also if it is hard to find a job.

It's a wonderful area to live.

First, don't let people scare you with the weather thing, because it is actually amazingly mild - the national news will report when the snow falls like crazy, but they don't bother to tell you that the next day its almost always all gone.

Boulder is a college town, and fairly pricey. If that is something you want to avoid, just look in the paper for other options - there are plenty out there.

Colorado seems to always be defining itself, and the growth has been stupendous over the last ten years or so - there are plenty of jobs available in nearly every imaginable field - five years ago when I lived there, they even lowered the age that teenagers could work to 14 years old, because there were not enough employees for all the available jobs, and places like fast food restaurants were without an employee pool.

If you're into the history of the American West, there will be so much there to interest you - maybe even tour the home of The Unsinkable Molly Brown, that's a hoot.

Great place to live. Good luck and have fun exploring it!

Boulder is a typical university town, lot of college kids around. It is a nice place if you into outdoor adventures like hiking, cycling, rock climbing etc. Not as expensive as california, but not too cheap either. Extremely beautiful and scenic.it has a nice downtown.
Has good shopping areas. Few companies though. Quite a few companies are closing down.
Denver is a growing city, different cultures, many companies too.
