if there are any firefox users out there, what would be your ideal security package(anti-virus,spyware),but the anti-virus must be compatible with internet explorer aswell
i currently use f-secure 2006,is that ok for firefox,as that would be great ,so i dont have to change my anti0virus and loose my subscription

Ewido anti malware is a tried and tested product provided by Grisoft, who also provide AVG. It runs in the background.
Avast! anti virus also has real time protection and protects against some Trojans as well as viruses.

Before installing any unknown product, Google for problems.

Anit-virus and anti-spyware have nothing to do with your browser, they're entirely separate pieces of software. In Firefox you can have AdBlock and NoScript extensions which will help block rogue or annoying images, scripts, etc which could slow down your surfing experience, but you usually only get a virus if you actively download something or open a dodgy email attachment.

Get the Firefox extensions from the Firefox home page. They're only compatible with Firefox though, I would forget IE if I were you as it's behind the times and insecure.
