A GB is larger.

A kilobyte (KB) equals 1024 (or 2^10) bytes. Likewise, a megabyte (MB) equals 1024 KB or 2^20 bytes and a gigabyte (GB) equals 1024 MB or 2^30 bytes.

1,024 Byte = 1 Kilobyte (KB)
1,024 Kilobyte (KB) = 1 Megabyte (MB)
1,073,741,824 Bytes = 1 Gigabyte (GB)
1 Gigabyte (GB) = 1,024 Megabyte (MB)

bit = a single memory value of on (1) or Off (0)
Nibble = 4 bits
byte = 8 bits which relates to 1 of 254 possible characters
Kilobyte = 1,024 bytes
MegByte = 1,048,576 bytes
GigaByte = 1,073,741,824 bytes

Since computers work with binary (1s and 0s) all the numbers are based on a multiple of 2.
1 x 2 = 2
2 x 2 = 4
8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, .....

Hope this helps!

A gigabyte is 1024 Megabytes. 1GB == 1024GB.

A gigabyte is only 1000 MB if it's in terms of a hard drive, and they're running in to problems with that because it confuses the customers.

here is how they r calculated.
1024 Kilo Bytes (KB) = 1 Mega Bytes (MB)
1024 Mega Bytes(MB) = 1 Giga Bytes (GB)
1024 Giga Bytes (GB) = 1 Tera Bytes (TB)
