Because it's representative of the "twins". You have a dual nature(either you can be the sweetest person in the world until someone pisses you off royally, or you can be a nasty so-and-so and be even nastier..LOL!) Either way, make the best of your sign, dear. You have a gift of gab and you love being on the go. You're also sensitive and love learning You've also got the gift to think on your feet and have a wonderful sense of humor. Now don't get all cocky(no one likes a smart ***...LOL!) and watch your money( I got to balance my check book, girlie!). As a Gemini, I embrace all my positives and I work on my negatives. It shows that gemini's have two sides, some people call it two faces. It's just there to represent that Gemini is the only sign that distinctively has two completely different sides to their personality.

Half of the signs represent two, or are 'dual' signs. Libra is two scales, Aquarius a man and a water pot and its symbol, two snakes. Sag, Half Man half horse; Pisces is two fish pulling in opposite directionsetc.

it represents twins but not two diffrent people it is two diffrent in one for example a person could be happy and cheerful and then on the other side have a depressed sad lonely person
