same can be said of women if diamonds are you objective
buy your own don't depend on a man to give them to for nothing.
When you get married you each take the other for better
and for worst. If you didn't like the man you married, you shouldn't get married. We all have traits that the other doesn't like much that what give and take is about....
No man or woman wants to be made into something else besides themselves, thats probably why the divorce rate is what it is.....

"Women are like fine wine. They all start out fresh, fruity and intoxicating to the mind and then turn full-bodied with age until they go all sour and vinegary and give you a headache." ~Author unknown
Anyone that loves diamonds so much they feel they "must" have them, especially in order to display love, is not particularly bright... whether it's the male buying it or the female desiring it.
Diamonds are only a girl's best friend thanks to the ridiculous monopolizing power of South Africa's De Beers Group. Granted, such mining is largely responsible for the industrialization of South Africa. But you don't have to buy them just because everyone says you should. Buy silver bands and spend all that money on a nice vacation or a trust fund or a down payment on a house. What good is the sparkly rock doing for you?

I don't think dogs are a man's best friend, exclusively. I think that expression comes from a dogs unconditional love and companionship for his master. A woman's love is anything but unconditional.
As far as diamond's being a girl's best friend, well, women are all about resources. They want to know that a man is going to stay around and provide for her and her children. A diamond represents commitment and resources (money).
So who's the dumber of the two sexes? Men, I think. They give into that whole "prove to me you're worthy" by buying into that diamond crap. But, hey, if that's what it takes to get a woman, so be it.

Diamonds can be sold for money.
Dogs freaking die.
Men are not like wine. They are more of a sparkling grape juice for 6 year olds.

Never seen a diamond that can deliver unconditional love and expect nothing in return. That doesn't make man the more intelligent of the sexes but it sure makes the women more shallow.

WELL IF YOU WANT TO USE THE ANALOGY AT HAND, A WOMAN IS SMARTER BECAUSE A DIAMOND HAS HIGH VALUE, AND SHE IF SHE EVER BREAKS UP WITH SOMEONE WHO GAVE HER A DIAMOND, SHE CAN PAWN IT OFF AND RUN WITH SOME CASH. IF A DOG IS A MAN'S BEST FRIEND HE CAN'T REALLY GET ANYTHING OUT OF IT, BUT THIS IS IF WE ARE SPEAKING ABOUT MONEY

I didn't quite know how to take this. I'm the exception to the rule , I prefer a dog to a diamond. Dogs are great companions and a gem is pretty, but cant be your true blue companion.

The man might consider the dog his best friend, but the dog would love me better. She says as she sips her red wine and glances lovingly at the rock on her finger....some gals have it all.
