relax, nobody will die from you singing so there is no need to stress.... remember that there must be a reason you were asked to do it.....even if you completely fail at it, at least you did it....i always look over their heads, and pretend they r in their underware. be careful with the last one cause i saw a really huge guy and imagined him in his undies and almost fell down laughing. good luck and enjoy it.

I perform 3 to 4 nights a week. I've found that there really is no easy way to overcome stage frieght. I found that the atmosphere has a lot to do with it, how people react to one another, how the staff treats the customers etc. These are all roles that can combine to a successful performance. Try to pick out your best songs at the beginning to gain the crowds acceptance. Remember 1st impressions speaks in great volume! Most importantly, don't be afraid to talk to people. I have heard this over the years that people don't really care for performers who act like there better than everyone else and don't try to interact with the people and act stuck up. So sing your heart out and be nice to your crowd and and the rewards will be there for you. Good luck!!!!

I was always nervous before a performance. The more you do it, the more you get used to it.
Practice your performance in front of your family. It is 10 times harder to sing in the living room than on stage. An added benefit, if your family is at the performance, you can look at them for a sense of familiarity.

I've been performing on stage for over 20 years. You almost always will get nervous before a performance... even the stars get a little nervous.
Just do it, and keep doing it. You will learn to use your nervousness and transform it into energy for your performance.
I remember the first time... I was as stiff as a board, but I learned to love it... now, it's hard to get me off of the stage.
Good luck to you

Yes, I have performed many times singing in front of people. It is very scary, yes...but you can do it!! Before you go out there, take a few deep breaths, relax (as much as you can) and don't look at anyone in particular...I usually just look over everyone's heads. Also, with me I say to myself three times "make a joyful noise unto the Lord" and it also seems to help...but that one depends on your belief system! hehe!
You're going to do GREAT!!! Remember to smile!

Pop bubble wrap! It's clinically proven to help. But what I do is I have to sit by myself for a full day before I perform.
Also, I have to perform constantly because I feel more comfortable each time I do it.

i would just take a deep breath in and out for about a min. before you go out on stage.... then try to find someone you know and sing to them.... pertend that all the other people arnt there... and if nobody is there that u know then picture someone in you head that you really love and pertend they are there with you and you are only singing to them.... nobody else
