I am as close to married as your gonna get ( 6 year GF + child). I say no. We actually speak quite frequently through out the day and especially if I'm on a business trip. One thing you may need to take into consideration though is his work environment. The position that I'm in allows me the time to keep in contact, where some associates below me do not have that same privilege. So, evaluate first if he is capable of contacting you , then it becomes a matter of whether he wants to.

No, of course not.....but most of us are like that. It works like this: when a guy is at work that is all that is on his mind...the whole world is his work, nothing else exists. This goes for business trips too, that's work and not time off. So if all he is thinking of is work...why call home? That is a totally different world.

And too....calls home rarely end well. The guy already has to deal with whatever is going on at work...and a call home will just add to his problems and things on his mind. So, why bother? There is nothing so important that it can't wait until the guy gets home.

Not all are, but most employed men are. My wife seems to think that work is just the place I go for 14 hours a day and do nothing. Therefore, it's O.K. for her to call me 40 times before lunch and get offended when I can't talk because I'm busy working.

What does your husband do? Is it a really intensive job that requires his un-divided attention? What's his stress level like at work?

Ask yourself these questions before getting worried.

I definately hope most of us husbands aren't like that. I understand not calling from work, its a job and you have things to do while there, but I try and make a point to call my wife once a day to tell her I love her and see how her day is going. While out of town, its a given to call your wife as much as possible to tell her how things are going, that you miss her and love her....thats my two cents

No. I call every day. However, my wife thinks it's normal for us to converse about 10 times a day...so something in the middle is probably correct
