My opinion is getting the info and statistics you need on competition. Sometimes you have competition and don't even know it.

Dead head nailed it. Remember there are many variables that you know, and just as many you don't know. I did mine 6 years ago. Inked it out and followed the plan I had outlined. The company is doing very well, but I should have written everything in pencil. The most difficult thing is to be realistic. Put your dreams and hopes aside, I know it's hard, and focus on the facts as you know them.
The hardest part? Keeping your plan realistic.
