Beatles, the Rolling Stones even though they have a lot of good music emulated them to much and still do today some , where as the Beatles trend setters but the Rolling Stones went with the trends and they still do what they did back in the 60s.

Stones! Beatles had their good moments but didnt have the rock and roll soul that the stones had (and still have for that matter) Beatles were more parent friendly music (like westlife)

Beatles by far- they were the pioneers dude!
And you probably knew this but the beatles invented MTV- well they were the first ones to make music videos coz they were so popular at the time they couldn't be everywhere at once so they send 'paperback writer' around the world.
