Because the "Radical Right" represent a group of shallow, narrow-minded, self-serving, war-mongering bigots with no conscience or values and they can't stand to have their values challenged, as in movies that seek for truth, not the lies that spew out of the government.

Because Hollywood hates the Radical Right. Being a Republican in Hollywood is like being a Communist in Hollywood during the Cold War.

Because Hollywood is full of the entertainment industry and almost all of them are Liberals and people look up to the actors and actress more than America's leaders. Therefore the Radical Rights are just jealous.

The RR doesn't hate Hollywood, Hollywood (at least most of the movie producers), hate the RR. They consider the RR to be a bunch of hicks that just fell off the haywagon, and if they owned a house in hell and a house in "flyover country", they'd live in hell and rent the other place. This also explains why they missed the boat on Mel Gibson's money train. Whoah, mixed metaphor.

What the first responder said is the given answer. But there is more to it than that. The McCarthy hearings left deep scars. People in Hollywood are distrustful of Bible thumping flag waving conservatives who watch their movies and porn as well, but criticize both. Not all Hollywood types are left of center. Many are not, as Charlton Heston is an example of. But they tend to be involved in causes that liberals support. So, conservatives lash out at them, notably for their lack of conservative, mainstreet values. Which is nonsense, since those same folks watch their movies and drive up their revenues. Pirates of the Carribbean set records for attendance with a slightly effeminate Johnny Depp as its star. It is all for the mass consumption of political constituents.

Probably because many Hollywood people are quite liberal in their thinking. Some producers, directors, actors, screenwriters, etc.
Wait, I'm confused - the "radical right?" Just realized that.

I think because they have access to the news media and often get chances to voice their opposition to the radical right. People are receptive to listening to a familiar face.
