I was wondering if it is hard or soft?? I have had a problem with constipation (sorry for the details!!) so I have blockage in my abdomen from that too! i know the baby can feel if i poke it, I try to push on my belly to push down that blockage or gas and don't want to be pushing on my baby all the time..... I could really use the help cause I forgot to ask the dr yesterday when I was there! Thanks for your advice and God Bless you! :o)

Lay on your back and press your fingers into your belly down near your pubic bone. Slowly move them up your belly and you should feel the firmness of your uterus. At this stage the top (fundus) will probably be getting close to your belly button.

It will feel firm/hard.

Go get a book called " what to expect when you are expecting". It's the pregnancy bible and will help with all these questions. Your question as well as many others that you would not expect is in there. It's excellent in describing all of these little things that worry moms and help distinguish when something is "normal" or not.
Good Luck!

It should be just below your navel. With gentle pressure under your belly button, you should be able to feel the hardness. Wait til you're about to pop (like me) you can feel it all the way up under your ribs!

Your uterus is above your vagina and below your belly button.

When you get bigger you will feel it, right in your lower belly.
