I don't have any kids, but I have had stretch marks since I was in highschool. And I never thought that u can get stretch marks from gaining weight. I did develop some hips over the past year. I will try the coco butter and vitamin E, but how long does it take until u start seeing them fade?

Unfortunately, there is no permanent solution of stretch marks. However, you can reduce their appearance by not gaining too much weight and with proper preventive measures. The earlier you can detect them – when they are pink or reddish brown – the more likely you are to diminish their appearance.

Came across this article which may help to get rid of stretch marks ...

yep, join the club. we've got over a million members i'm sure.
vitamin e is a great product people use all the time for scars, helping wounds heal, and stretch marks. cocoa butter is also something i'm trying. it's supposed to promote cell growth. other than that, try not to gain any more extra weight. you might not be able to lose the stretch marks completely that you have now, but at least you can try to prevent any more from happening in the future.

Get rid of Stretch Marks?

It's gonna take a while honey, meanwhile realize this. It doesn't matter. It is like my man told me. He is just happy that I let him see my butt, and doesn't care if there are marks on it or not. Men don't really care that much about stretch marks. Well, none that I met ever have. Enjoy your hips and curves, and don't worry about it. When you are old, you will wish you enjoyed being young instead of spending all of your time being insecure about a few lines.

I FEEL your pain. And believe me, I hate to have to tell you this because I wish it weren’t true….but there is NO WAY…absolutely NO WAY to remove stretch marks!! You can buy creams, you can have laser surgery, and you can have micro-dermabrasion done but they will ONLY MINIMIZE your marks. They will NOT fully make them disappear.

I’m sure this isn’t the answer you wanted, but it is the absolute truth. Before you go out and spend a lot of money on products that aren’t going to work, I would seriously urge you to talk to your doctor; he will basically tell you the same thing. Trust me, Hon, I wish I could get rid of mine too.

Have a great day and good luck. =)

There are creams and lotions on the market for stretchmarks. They are located where the lotions are in your local department store.
