completely normal, all babies spit up
but you may be overfeeding him. Or it may just be your baby isn't being burped often enough. Be sure you burp him every ounce you give him, or if breast feeding every 3-4 min.
It could be the heat not agreeing with him it is summer after all.
What you need to look for is is he gaining weight? Is he peeing and pooping regularly? Is he getting colicy or overly fuzzy? It could also be the start of reflux but then he would be spitting up all four oz. These are things to watch for. Good luck and congrats.

it is totally normal for babies that young to spit up a LOT. when my daughter was that young it would seem like she almost spit up everything i just fed her, the doctor said she would grow out of it and she did, after about 4 months. the reason your baby may be spitting up may be because you are feeding him too much. 4 oz is a lot for a 2 week old, try giving him less and he may not spit up. maybe try giving him 2-3 oz and see how he does with that.

2 of my 3 kids spit up ALOT. The doctor always said its okay as long as they still gain weight and no diarrhea. But at 2 weeks I would still be burping evry 1 1/2 to 2 ounces.

Girl that's too much!! Cut down on the formula for now to about 2-3 oz and make sure you burp him regularly. I know he may seem hungry and want to keep sucking on the bottle but understand that babies are born with a sucking reflex, pretty much they'll suck on anything you put in their mouths and not necessarily sucking out of hunger. Give it a shot and see how it goes.

He might just be getting air bubbles. Try stopping half way through and burping him. And make sure he wants the rest before offering it to him. Is the spitting up more like projectile vomiting? If it is I would worry about reflux, if not I wouldn't worry too much. Also liquids look like a lot more than they really are when they are spilled, it might not really be as much as you think.

4 ounces for a two week old is quite a bit. At that age, 2 ounces should hold him for about two to three hours. If you have questions, consult your pediatrician.

is it possible that you are overfeeding your baby? i dont ever remember giving my son that much as such a young age. if it isnt that then it could be possible that your baby is allegeric to the formula. ask your doctor, thats your best bet

yes babys stomachs are small, they only hold about 2oz at birth and are about the size of a marble when empty. try feeding less more ofter and see if it helps.

I don't think it is a problem, as long as your baby is gaining weight. Also, it sometimes look more than it really is.

the tummy of your baby is the size of a golf ball or even less than that.
