Israel has suffered attacks from Hezbollah for MANY years, which were completely indiscriminate in their choice of targets. Finally, they kidnapped some soldiers. Israel gave them a chance to return them, but their demand was for DOZENS of hard core thugs held by Israel to be released. I believe Israel has shown incredible restraint so far. Hezbollah locates their rocket batteries, snipers, etc., in homes and residential areas. Israel is NOT deliberately targeting civilians, but the civilians are forced to remain by Hezbollah as human shields. Is there anything more cynical than that?

That website has as much propaganda as any other website created in the face of war. That carnage does exist, but showing dead children is just to create a strong emotional response in order to make Israel look like they are just evil bastards.

The United States supports Israel on their actions against Hezzbolah (sp?). Lebanon won't act against Hezzbolah, and Hezzbolah uses Lebanon as a shield against everyone else.

Hezzbolah has made the active decision to hide amongst civilians. They force the battlefield into the residential areas so Israel will look like the evil aggressors.

Hezzbolah was supposed to be disarmed 2 years ago by Lebanon. Lebanon failed to take care of that, and Hezzbolah was allowed to continue without any punishment. Israel is just tired of being poked. The United States is supporting Israel's decision to destroy Hezzbolah. Unfortunately, the only way to do that is to hit them where they hide, and that is amongst the civilians.

It is horrible, I agree. However, I don't agree that Israel is the only problem here. I don't agree Israel should just take it standing up and let these groups commit criminal actions.

I also will not agree that Israel does no wrong. However, in this conflict I think Hezzbolah has created this carnage on the people of Lebanon, and Hezzbolah has the power to stop it by disarming and giving back the kidnapped soldiers.

They hate us because after WW2 Palestine was divided into Israel and modern Palestine. Since then Israel has been the target of many political/religious/terrorist factions. These factions have no borders, nor do they identify with one country. They do have political control in the region and use weapons to fight their agendas. Other countries fund them or sell these weapons to them. Which is another reason why they hate us, because a lot of those weapons came from the US and former Soviet Union. (Bush senior's CIA days) The unfortunate consequence is that Lebanon is taking the punch for what its political leaders involvement with Hezbollah.
It would be like calling the "Bush administration" a terrorist group. If someone wanted to take on "Bush", they would need to take on the whole country. Can you say 9/11.....

Anyways, to answer your question the American government stand behind Israel in practically all it's actions, we gave about 90billion USD to Israel in aid last year.
The US approves of Israels right to protect itself, by bombing and destroying other countries in much the same way that the US protects it's people by bombing and destroying other countries, please see Afganistan and Iraq.

About 13,000 Iraqis, including as many as 4,300 civilians, were killed during the major combat phase of the Iraq war, according to a US research group.

The study estimates the Iraqi dead during the 1991 Gulf War at some 3,500 civilians and between 20,000 and 26,000 soldiers.

LONDON - A survey of deaths in Iraqi households estimates that as many as 100,000 more people may have died throughout the country in the 18 months after the U.S. invasion than would be expected based on the death rate before the war.

There is no official figure for the number of Iraqis killed since the conflict began, but some non-governmental estimates range from 10,000 to 30,000. As of Wednesday, 1,081 U.S. servicemen had been killed, according to the U.S. Defense Department

I can't believe anyone in their right minds would glorify or accept what the Israeli's with America's approval is the right way to go about dealing with the events in the middle east.

Such people should be screened and tested for any mental health issues or just be shot.

Such racism or racist thoughts towards a nation should not be accepted.

Israeli leaders not often ever show sense sorry approximately for deaths carried out via their squaddies and those squaddies not often are punished or get courtroom-martialled. Even now, the Israeli govt reported that the deaths in Qana, have been carried out via Israeli, yet they have been sufferers of Hezbollah. Umm, umm, umm, who killed them? would not they be the sufferers of who killed them? As for the arab international cheering, they are cheering as a results of fact for them the people are the enemy as us of a has continuously supported Israel no rely what or perhaps blindisided Israel's faults to a undeniable quantity. it fairly is why they cheer at American deaths as a results of fact for them a rustic which has strongly supported their sort one enemy Israel no rely what, is likewise their enemy. additionally one element I notice maximum entries is how Islam=Evil in accordance to a great area of people. i might propose them to study the koran and not pass via the radicalist extremists and terrorist business enterprise reason maximum muslims are actually not supportive of them and maximum who've substitute into supportive have become so in elementary terms after seeing the U. S. invade Iraq for reasons that have been proved incorrect and help Israel. do not blame an entire community.
