Many countries, especially socialist countries like Denmark, only allow immigrants who are able to perform some job that no one else in the country is qualified for. Therefore, they are quite selective. This of course stems from the fact that a socialist nation is over-protective of it's own citizens (to a great fault).

The United States is not in this position, of course, being that we are a capitalistic/democratic country. I think we should allow anyone with a clean background to enter our country but we should institute a lengthy "pledge" period, similar to a fraternity. During this period, which could last up to 5 years, the person needs to prove that they have the ability to learn English and be a contributing member to our society or workforce. Only once this provisional period is over will we allow them to take complete advantage of many of our social programs. Without this we will find ourselves in the same situation we are in now, wherein immigrants come over and are simply a burden to our social programs. It's unfair for those who have been working hard and paying taxes their whole lives to have an immigrant come over for the sole reason of milking all of our government's handouts.

Hope this gives you some ideas to think about.

certain, the U.S. authorities might want to reduce immigrants to certain sorts. because it stands we've got alot of immigrants entering the US that do not have any skill or little or no to help themselves. At one time each man or woman had to have a sponsor that changed into responsible for the welfare of the guy or households, that isn't any longer taking position now and those each man or woman is going to diverse organization searching for help or from time to time have techniques to get advantages that they don't favor or must be receiving. Our authorities helps alot of international locations and there needs, we should not be puzzled as to the sorts of folk immigrating into the US that contribute to the upward push of the US without being a burden. Our u . s . changed into equipped by using immigrants that artwork flat out and gave their hearts and soles to achieve what we try to maintain on the prompt.
