I need to convert all my media files because it annoying to only be able to play my songs with Windows Media Player and I really don't want to have to upload all my music again with different software.

There are lots of tools you can use. A very nice free one is Audacity:

If I remember correctly, you have to download a separate MP3 encoder (which they give you instructions on how to do.)
